Supplier Roundtable: How AT&T Supports Businesses in a New Era of Connectivity
Last month, Telarus launched its new rotating series of themed Tuesday Partner Calls, as requested by you, our valued partners. The first call of each month brings our Supplier Roundtable, and on June 6th we welcomed Amit Desai, National Channel Director of Mobility, AT&T, along with Chris “Wireless Whit” Whitaker, VP of Advanced Solutions IoT, Telarus. AT&T is a global leader in managed IoT connectivity services, and it was a pleasure to learn more from Amit about AT&T’s latest investments and solutions for today’s digital landscape.
What we learned:
- 5G offers new flavors to meet the need for speed: The 5G footprint is growing to meet the full spectrum of broadband network needs. AT&T’s newest evolution, 5G+, available in many suburban and urban areas, provides an optimal mix of ultra-fast speeds and broad coverage designed to meet the most demanding apps and services in high-traffic areas.
- Investments in patented innovations and partnerships continue: For example, AT&T is the exclusive provider of FirstNet, a public safety broadband network and services dedicated to first responders and those who respond to them. When you’re FirstNet certified, you have access to a nationwide network that separates public safety traffic from commercial traffic so first responders receive access to network resources first, ahead of others. FirstNet was a critical service during the pandemic and AT&T will continue to invest in the program for years to come.
- It’s not just cellular and tablets anymore – we’ll help you start the sales conversation beyond mobility: More speeds and feeds mean more opportunities to introduce your customers to all of the applications that can help them expand their business. Amit discussed several popular applications, from IoT fleet solutions to mobile security. The opportunities are endless, and AT&T and Telarus are happy to help you start the conversation based on your customers’ desired business outcomes.
